The office of J. Thomas Hodges – Attorney at Law Co., LPA have moved back to Over the Rhine. This firm started 8 years ago in Over the Rhine and it was time to come home. Over the Rhine has a lot of energy and passion that is fueled by many start up companies and entrepreneurs. We are excited to be a party of this community.

The office will be located at the historic Cogswell building at 1219 Sycamore Street. The Cogswell Building was built in the late 1880s at the corner of Sycamore and Woodward (now 13th Street), and has housed many types of businesses in its lifetime. It was home to Breeck’s boots and shoes in the 19th century, and in the 20th century was home to a cobbler, a tailor, a grocery, and Schmidt Bicycle Service, among others. In the 21st century it was home to The Cabaret Bar, CS13 (a gallery and performance space). Pat Feghali bought the building in 2012 and fully rehabbed it into its current shape as home to several offices representing multiple businesses, along with a conference room, shared spaces and a fourth floor suite.

The building is named for Osmond Cogswell. Mr. Cogswell was one of the original trustees of the Woodward Trust, which still owns the land under the building. Cogswell Alley runs parallel to Sycamore Street between the building and Main Street to the West.
